September Challenge: Day 2

Day 2 is done. It was a simple project, but they are not going to be too complex if I am to finish is just one day.

You saw the tulle yesterday and I know some of you guessed tutu...which now sounds fun... I actually used the tulle to make produce bags. For grocery shopping. They weigh virtually nothing, so no added price to the purchase. And it is greener than the plastic bags. Although, some places near me now carry recyclable bags. At least this way I have a size choice as well.

Speaking of size choice, when I cut them, I forgot that I wanted to double up the layers. So some bags are too small for produce...unless you are just getting a couple kiwi or something. They will make nice gift bags though...they just take away the surprise portion of the gift :P

I do plan on making a bunch of these to go along with my market totes. Not quite sure when I'll be rolling them out. I think I may have too much lined up. Can a good schedule count as a Craft a Day project? No? Okay, I tried.

....come see Peacocks & Dragonflies' OADCC (one a day craft challenge) - she got me started on this :) ...

great project! If using for gift bags, one could always wrap the gift in tissue or a bit of fabric.
