Sweetwater's Table Runner

Sweetwater's Make Life Sweet blog had a pattern up of flower table runner. I have been wanting to make more home type things, so I gave it a shot. Plus, they had a contest going on that involved making the runner & sending them a pic of it. (The winner gets some of their Authentic jelly rolls from Moda!) I love that idea! What a great way to get people involved.

I used some quilting fabric that was originally for a set of coordinating bags that never got made. I am not sure what I think of the fabrics all together like this, but it's not bad. I had a little fun with the stitching at the centers of the flowers and had a wiggly line going around the edges of the runner.

So - here is a shot of the whole thing and close ups of each flower...the colors on the tan flower are a bit off, but you get the idea...also, needs to be ironed again :P


I had planned to make some runners soon and this was a great kick in the butt for me. I sketched out some for the fall season plus Halloween & Thanksgiving. Good thing I am doing a craft a day this month!
